I am pleased to announce the grand opening of www.louismarkoya.com
While this is a showcase for my own art and stories, there is heavy significance to Salvador Dali
I am certain that for the Dali fans in this group there will be new information, interesting facts
stimulating ideas and links. Please drop by and look through the galleries. Most images have attached stories or explanations, and there are fun photos of the past and present.
I had looked for professionals to take on the task of this site for some time and between people who did not want to do what I required, to those that said I could not afford them, I decided to do it myself. So for the past week and a half I have been up late, waking early and sneaking time in on the site construction and layout every moment I could.
I am proud of the result and hope you find many interesting things there for your own enjoyment, Dalinian education and even self enrichment

Sincerely

Louis

I will add to the site, including pages for Dali anecdotes, but for the time being I need a small rest and need to get back painting.

Hello Mr. M ... Good to see things up and running on your site. So hey just a little UAT for ya - I was checking out the galleries via iPhone (admittedly not the "latest and greatest " one) and as I was trying to read more about your work using computers in art etc. the site kept crashing on my phone. It's Apple's Safari browser and really, it likel represents a small part of the target audience but if you do have a team building the site maybe mention it to them as an increasing number of viewers will be surfing to sites via iPad and Kindles, etc etc tablet devices in general.

What a crazy Star Trek world we live in eh?
Anyway great stuff. If you like to provide an occasional article essay or image to Omnibucket.com it too is regaining life after undergoing some site simplification.

Most of the backlog of catalog content is still "in storage" but it includes interviews with artists musicians scientists and writers (sorry, "authors").

I'm basing my invitation on the merits of your own fascinating work in art as well as engineering and science and not just on the (nevertheless very fascinating) connection with surrealism.

So all the blah blah rambling aside good to see ya. Hope all is well!

I did the site myself and its had extensive testing on ipad...little on iphone...but will check more.
Glad you liked what you could see of the site as I'm pretty happy with it...dug up a lot of stuff from the past.
I will update it and add content, including a bunch of Dali anecdotes and will check out Omnibucket...for now I'm happy to have the site to get the work out there
Thanks for saying hello

Louis

Some brilliant work there... so great to see them all. Some very moving pieces. One of the first I connected with instantly was “The Aural Ecstasy of Beethoven’s Deaf Ear”. Fascinating!
