Rembrandt Double Images by LMarkoya Rembrandt Double Images by LMarkoya
While I have uploaded GIF animations of both these Rembrandt double images, I got a request to upload them as stills......
These digital manips were done at low resolution (actualy 250 x 250 pixels) to be reduced to 150x150 so the GIF's would appear on DA running at all times. These were blown up a little to show the detail.
This type of double imagery was practiced by Dali and I on classical paintings fairly often, where we would paint in watercolor and goache right onto fine prints of the original.
Putting all the images together ike this shows how one sees the hidden imagery utilizing Dali's paranoid critical technique.

The two transformations are named;
"Madonna and child standing in front of an Archway that Transforms into the Macroscopic Self Portrait of Rembrandt as the Apostle Paul"
and
"Rembrandt Painting his own Macro Self Portrait Under the Spectre of Death"

Very interesting concepts, I really do see what you mean and I find it amazing how the Madonna with Child comes so cleanly away from Rembrandt's self-portrait.

Wow. I wish I had your rich imagination. Guess I'll have to settle with drugs.

Thank you....but I do not feel I have imagination......it is simply the way I look at things

That's part of imagination, isn't it? I couldn't see a woman holding a baby in that picture.
