Apo 3D Hack
With all the incredible Apo work being done here on DA I had to spend a little time with it yesterday, and thanks to :mynameishalo: and his great 3D tutorial which broght 3D from a few layers to blasting it off the screen, I came up with this ball of coral. I also want to congratulate the many Apo masters out there at what they have been churning out lately, and showing the program simply has no limits

Louis

Great fractal. The 3D effect is very nicely done and I love the gradient you used.

I could not get the gradient to spread through the geometry as I ished....and this was the best I could do
Thanks

Excellent coral structure, all glowing with its own light. Somehow, I've never managed to get into the 3D, despite all the inspiring material created using it...

Apophysis has infinate possibilities it seems....and then you throw 3D on top of it, and the possibilities can give you a headache....while I really haven't had enough time to explore, I like to get in and try something now and then....I need a refresher on Apo as it is...and there are so many outstanding pieces beinig produced lately, I'd like to undrstand their workings better
As for the 3D....simply follow the tutorial I reference....great stuff

One good method of picking up new techniques is to grab a few 'genomes' (parameters) from the Electric Sheep archive ([link]) and study their construction - can do wonders for block :D
