Apparition in Da Vinci Apostle by LMarkoya Apparition in Da Vinci Apostle by LMarkoya
Apparition in Leonardo's Apostle
is a small (6"x8") print of Leonardo's Apostle drawiing that I found to have the double image of angels in and brought it to Dali.....he had me rough in the angels on the print in watercolor and added the center female figure in the nose. Since I had brought to him several such projects that became "Dali's" I asked if we could both sign this piece, which angered him and he then refused to sign it at all......so I got to keep it and did put my signature on it for my part of the work/conception.
Now there is some insight into an unknown Dali story for you.

Interesting concept this discovery method is. Xome to think of it, we could do this as a collaborative process in the surreal arts club. The idea of discovering double images in masterworks...I myself had been constantly "seeing" these kinds of apparitions not only in "western art" but also in my neighboring "asian" art. As for Dali, I think he has that "ego-megalomania" complex as do all master artists during those era had.

Interesting read dear Luis.

Really cool concept, I like how you interpreted the image.

Yes...Dali could be quite explosive if it was not his way

I can not say for sure, as I met so many people it was even hard to keep track of then....but I have easily forgotten 10 details for every one I do remember....great, great times

Hah. Wicked. I suppose these days would go all DaVinci-code over it ;p I wonder if that's bad...

THanks....yea...guess you could easily put some Davinci Code meaning to it

I'd rather think of putting some 'apparition' meaning to the DaVinci Code :P (Personally I think Dan Brown is a hack who did nothing but drop some old theories in literate doggybags ;p Old wine in new sacks, as we say in Holland)
